    It is with great joy and anticipation that I welcome you to a new school year at Bel Air Elementary! Our school is a place where every child is seen, valued, and celebrated—and I’m thrilled to continue this journey with you.

    This year is especially meaningful to me as it marks the continuation of a 27-year journey in public education. I began my career in Arlington Public Schools, where I discovered my passion for teaching and learning. I then spent 25 incredible years in Fairfax County Public Schools, teaching second, third, and fifth grade at Parklawn Elementary in Alexandria, VA. Later, I had the honor of serving as principal at both Orange Hunt Elementary and Bull Run Elementary for a combined 13 years. In 2024, I joined Prince William County Public Schools and was proud to be named principal of Bel Air Elementary. It is a privilege to lead our amazing school and witness the strength, resilience, and brilliance of our students, staff, and families.

    Dear Panther Families,

    Welcome to a brand-new school year! I am thrilled to be here with our incredible Panther family and excited for all the possibilities this year holds. It is truly an honor to serve our students, staff, and families in a community that values growth, connection, and excellence.

    With over ten years of experience in the classroom, I am passionate about supporting instruction in ways that benefit every student. My goal is to help create a space where each child feels empowered to be the very best version of themselves—academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Administrative Intern
    Dear Bel Air Elementary Community,
    I am truly honored and excited to join the Bel Air Elementary School community as your new Administrative Intern. I look forward to serving our incredible students, families, and staff and becoming an active part of all that makes Bel Air such a special place.
    For more than 14 years, I have had the privilege of serving students and families in Fairfax County Public Schools. I began my career as a music teacher, where I found great joy in creating engaging learning experiences and helping every student feel valued, included, and successful. Throughout my career, I have also supported new teachers, led school equity initiatives, and worked to ensure that every student has access to high-quality educational opportunities.
    As a Woodbridge resident and parent of an elementary school student, I understand the importance of strong partnerships between schools and families. I believe that when educators and families work together, students thrive. I am passionate about helping create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
    One of the many things that drew me to Bel Air Elementary is its rich cultural and linguistic diversity. I am inspired by the many backgrounds, experiences, and strengths represented within our community and am committed to celebrating and supporting every student and family. I am eager to build relationships, learn from our community, and contribute to Bel Air's mission of ensuring high levels of learning for every child.
